Welcome
Thank you for your interest in my candidacy for the Franklin County Court of Appeals. As an appellate prosecutor, I have handled hundreds of cases in the Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. I am also an adjunct professor of business law, and I am deeply committed to community service. In 2007, my volunteer service at a monthly legal clinic earned me the Pro Bono Award from the Columbus Legal Aid Society. Prior to joining the Prosecutor’s Office, I worked in private practice, and, before that, I served as a staff attorney for a common pleas judge. Coming out of law school, I scored in the top 1% of the Ohio Bar Exam.
I firmly believe that a judge should apply the law as written—no more, no less. If elected to the Court of Appeals, I pledge to adhere to this philosophy and to treat all litigants fairly and impartially.
I invite you to browse this website to learn more about me, my qualifications, and why I have the right experience to serve on the Court of Appeals. I humbly ask for your vote this fall.
Sincerely,
Seth Gilbert
